Amerimax manufactures a variety of patio products including traditional aluminum patio covers, aluminum carports, window awnings, lattice shade structures (Alumawood�) and solid roof shade structures (Newport)�all of which offer a variety of sizes, profiles, colors and accessories that allow you to create your own unique landscaping accent.
Q2: Will Amerimax sell their patio products directly to homeowners?
No, Amerimax does not sell directly to homeowners. As a manufacturer, we sell our patio products primarily to contractors and remodelers, but we would be happy to refer you to an installer in your area. We have a national network of authorized dealers ready to serve you! If you would like to purchase and install the product yourself, you may contact one of our DIY (Do-It-Yourself) distributors/dealers online or by phone, and they will ship directly to your residence. Q5: How much maintenance is required for your patio products?
Amerimax aluminum products are easy to maintain and are virtually maintenance-free. Not only do we manufacture the end product, we paint the aluminum ourselves using a state-of-the-art continuous coating process and an extremely anti-corrosive siliconized polyester paint finish (Tuffcoat�). Generally, normal rainfall is sufficient to keep its appearance clean. We also recommend that you periodically spray down the cover with a water and soap solution to rid the surface of dirt and/or lime build-up.

Alumawood� Shade Structures are offered in two different styles to suit your needs. If you want added shade but still prefer partial sun to shine through and don�t want to screen out refreshing breezes, our Laguna Lattice shade structure is the ideal solution. However, our Newport Solid Roof shade structure is your best choice for providing you and your outdoor furniture with maximum protection against the elements. You�ll be able to enjoy your outdoor living space even when the weather isn�t ideal.

Amerimax window awnings come in six colors: White, Cream, Brown, Beige, Royal Blue, and Blue/Gray.
Q9: What sizes are available for Alumawood� Shade Structures?
There are five profiles available for Alumawood� structures:
1.5� x 1.5� lattice tubes ( .018� thick aluminum )
2� x 2� lattice tubes ( .018� thick aluminum)
3� x 3� posts ( .024� thick aluminum)
2� x 6� rafters ( .024� or .032� thick aluminum )
3� x 8� headers ( .042� thick aluminum )
All of our patio structures can be ordered to your custom specifications, in part or in whole.
Q10: How are Alumawood� shade structures installed?
They are installed either free-standing or attached and the posts can be installed with either brackets fastened to a concrete slab or embedded in concrete footings.* Installation time is dependent on the size of the cover. Most standard sizes, attached or freestanding require less than one day for an experienced installation team.
*FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) classic round columns are also available.
Q11: How does the cost of an Alumawood� shade structure compare to that of real wood?
The cost of materials for an Alumawood� Shade Structure is comparable to that of a wooden shade structure. Although, with Alumawood� Shade Structures, you will never have to worry about spending money and hours of backbreaking work to scrape, paint, and repair the structure. So it costs less in the long run.

Our product adheres to ICBO engineering. A complete set of engineering specifications may be found in ICBO 2621-P. Dealers of our products also can provide you with the engineering specifications.
